Thomas Mayo Associates/Architects & Urban Designers was retained
as the Architect for this project by the Auburn Housing
Authority. The project encompassed the construction of a new 1222 square foot
maintenance building, and the renovation of the existing Authority’s headquarters building to
provide additional administrative office space for the Housing Authority,
located at the existing Stoneville Heights Elderly Housing site, in Auburn,
Massachusetts. The construction of the new
Maintenance Garage building consists of slab on grade with wood-frame
structure. The exterior
of the building was designed to blend in with the character of
the surrounding residential buildings.
The interior of the building includes a truck bay, a
maintenance equipment storage and repair bay, a workshop area,
materials storage area, and an employee shower/bathroom. The project also included site grading
and drainage, utilities, site improvements and landscaping. |
